THETA, a privately held company, was founded in 2007 to develop and commercialise a novel technology licensed from NUI Galway that allows the formulation of a range of soluble metal oxides. THETA develops thin film coatings on a nano scale to deliver functionality to a range of substrates.

The basic element of THETA technology: Anatase TiO2 is naturally found embedded in Quartz and Calcite.

A development company up to 2011, THETA have invested in the development of a range of platform products for Steel, Glass and Ceramic market sectors.  These products are now market ready and commercially available.  We have a unique development pipeline based on our patented solubilisation technology.
