Cormac O’Keeffe – Technical Director
Cormac has a BSc degree in Chemistry from University College Cork and a PhD in Materials Chemistry from National University of Ireland, Galway. At NUIG he developed a number of materials for industrial and medical applications and was awarded the British Oxygen Company Bursary award on two separate occasions. On completion of his PhD he joined THETA and has developed technologies from first principles to commercial product. He is the principal applicant in two patents from this work. Cormac has forged links with leading researchers in the fields of biomaterials, semi-conductors and functional polymers in Ireland and the UK as well as working with multinational companies from a variety of industries
Ronan O’Connor – Finance Director
Ronan provides part-time support to THETA; he has worked in senior financial roles in high-technology start-ups and established blue chip organisations. He has experience of implementing financial control, financial planning, treasury/cash management and corporate financing transactions.
